ABOUT THE SHOOT

Lila Britton is a stage and voice over actor out of Atlanta, Georgia, and we found each other through her talented mom, and my client, Nicole. If you ever hear me talk about the "fancy chicken session", that's Nicole. For this session, Lila challenged me to do something I rarely get to do, a straightforward portrait shoot, but she wanted it unmistakably hers. So she built a wish list, less a shot list and more a mood board of color grading and feeling, and I pulled a curated set of locations around Louisville that matched the Lila aesthetic she'd handed me.

So much of this shoot was created in the moment. You can feel that freedom in the images, a talented young creative fully spreading her own wings, trusting the day to unfold instead of controlling every second of it. Sessions like this one are the reason I do this work. What a privilege it is to have the trust and friendship of clients like Lila.

Why does this session show up under Branding?  Because Lila is a fabulous example of encompassing all of you into a session, taking risks and showing all of yourself instead of performing.  A beautiful, memorable branding example of an actor and creative.
